To celebrate the farming game’s seventh anniversary, Stardew Valley just ran an incredibly short but huge sale on Steam that you, like me, probably missed. If you did, don’t worry, because the pre-ConcernedApe game Haunted Chocolatier sells elsewhere for an incredibly similar price.
Stardew Valley is a great game, and if you have a friend who already has a passion for farming games, getting them and playing Stardew Valley multiplayer will make the game even better.
The Steam flash sale lasted less than a day and slashed the price of Stardew Valley by 50%, from $14.99/£10.99 to $7.49/£5.49, the lowest price ever recorded on the platform . In case you missed it, GOG is currently selling it as well.
The problem with the GOG sale is that we don’t really know how long it’s going to last, so I can’t tell you if it’s going to be incredibly short, like a Steam sale, or if it’s going to last a bit. . more towards the seventh anniversary of the game.
Anyway, you can get Stardew Valley on GOG for 40% off when you stake it for $8.99 / £6.59 right now., which, as we said, is not as profitable as the very short sale on Steam, but it is close. You can buy GOG’s Stardew Valley here.
Stardew Valley developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone also issued a brief statement on the game’s seventh anniversary after announcing that the game sold more than 20 million copies last year.
“Today is the seventh anniversary of the release of Stardew. Thank you for supporting the game for the past seven years and giving me this special opportunity.”
