The new Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer shows how the story of Year 6 of the FPS game will unfold, demonstrating Vanguard’s willingness to take on the game’s biggest villain. the Destiny 2 Strand subclass as a gripping narrative that players will fully experience from the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date.
At the beginning of the trailer, the Guardians see broken glass, symbolizing something that’s still unclear and appearing in a lot of recent Lightfall-related promotional materials.
The Witness, whom Commander Zavala calls “the author of our first landslide”, makes his first appearance among humanity and its allies.
“You don’t have a goal because you’re afraid to look for it,” repeats the chilling voice of the Witness.
“We know pain,” the Witness also said. “Our goal is to end that.”
As a paracausal entity, the Witness’s wishes become clearer as Lightfall approaches. The entity believes that the only true end of suffering is lack of life and appears with the mission of ending it.
Players will finally be able to see Voyager in action. In the trailer, she shoots a beam of light that has an effect on the Dark Fleet pyramids. We only get a glimpse, and it’s hard to be sure that it’s not just about destroying ships, but that it also looks like it could grow and grow red vegetation. Either way, we’ve never seen the Traveler do this before – this is our first glimpse of the true power of him. If he creates life, in keeping with the resurrection power he bestowed on the Guardians, he would further cement his position as a force opposed to the Witness’ vision of a lifeless universe. Initially, the Great Machine used his power to terraform planets and lead humanity into its golden age, helping it spread throughout the entire solar system. This image therefore indicates that the Traveler is fully prepared to face the sequel after very little physical action throughout the history of the Destiny franchise.
In another powerful image, the Witness stands before the pyramids that surround the Wanderer, forming a shape reminiscent of Sagira, the Ghost, who sacrificed herself to save her Guardian Osiris. These disturbing images may mean that there is a link between the Witness and Osiris. Remember that Osiris was awakened from his dream by tea made from the relics of Nezarek, who was a disciple of the Witness.
