I’m not sure how to start an atomic heart? Charles walks you through these mechanics near the beginning of the game when you’re still in the tutorial section on Vavilov, but if you missed this guide by mistake or don’t quite understand how to drop boxes, chairs, and other debris, we’re here to help.
Casting is vital if you need to distract a Dandelion security camera or just want to headbutt an enemy bot in Atomic Heart. You can have many of Atomic Heart’s best weapons at your disposal during an FPS game, but nothing is more satisfying than a good kick to the head. This is what you need to know about using Atomic Heart.
Launch of the atomic heart explained
To throw an Atomic Heart, you must pick up an item by pressing F (or R1/RB on a controller), then hold the same button to charge up the throw, and release it when you remove your hand.
If you aim higher, you can throw the selected item farther, but keep in mind that throwing items near hostile enemies will also attract their attention, so be careful around large groups. The main use is to distract Dandelion’s CCTV camera so you can sneak away unharmed if you don’t want to shoot him and take out Bee Man or disable him with Shock, one of Atomic Heart’s best abilities.
That’s all there is to know about using Atomic Heart. If you want to play the game on the go, find out if there is support for the Atomic Heart steam game or check if you can run it at home with our Atomic Heart system requirements guide. We also take a look at the atomic nucleus test site, optional underground bases where you must solve puzzles to earn rewards. Developer Mundfish has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks after claims that the Russian government could benefit financially from the release of Atomic Heart. In fact, among the investors involved in financing Mundfish are GEM Capital, an investment fund whose founder is linked to Gazprom and VTB Bank, which are majority owned by the Russian state.
Additionally, Mundfish is partnering with VK (formerly Mail.RU) for the Russian release of Atomic Heart, avoiding Steam sanctions. VK is also controlled by the Russian state through Gazprombank, while the CEO of Mundfish is a former creative director of Mail.RU.
Due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, many players are boycotting the game in protest and donating money to organizations like the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, the International Rescue Committee, and the Cross-British Red.
