Demo for Resident Evil Village VR Mode is now available for download on the PlayStation Store. The Resident Evil Village VR mode boosts the intensity of the award-winning eighth main game in the Resident Evil series. The DLC supports the entire narrative campaign following Ethan Winters’ harrowing journey to rescue Rose, his kidnapped daughter. This VR adventure gets even more immersive as the Resident Evil Village VR mode takes full advantage of PlayStation VR2’s advanced features to transport players right into the village. Get ready to see the world through Ethan’s eyes in great detail with the new headset’s 4K HDR display and eye-tracking technology. The atmosphere is further enhanced by 3D audio effects that add texture to the environment and let listeners hear the horrors lurking around every corner.
With PlayStation VR2 Sense, the gaming experience is even more immersive. The new controllers allow players to interact with the environment like never before with natural motions that mirror Ethan’s movements on screen. These intuitive actions include blocking enemy attacks by raising Ethan’s hands, reloading firearms with realistic actions, and exploring the area while holding a map. Players can also dual wield weapons, store and retrieve items in Ethan’s coat, and perform many other sensory gestures such as opening doors and treating wounds with medicine bottles.
The Resident Evil Village VR mode also includes VR Tutorial and Shooting Range modes that showcase new VR game systems and give players the chance to hone their shooting skills.
Development has also begun on Resident Evil 4’s VR mode.. This PlayStation VR2 content will be available as free DLC for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake.
