New Fortnite BriteStar and Sam Wilson Captain America cosmetics are in-game battle royale as part of the anticipation for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, and one skin in particular is a subtle nod to a similarly named Marvel comic book character. While we’ve seen Steve Regors Captain America enter the game before, this is the first good look at Sam Wilson’s MCU Captain America costume.

There’s no word yet on how long the two Fortnite skins will be in the item shop, but Marvel says that Sam Wilson’s Captain America bundle will be here for a “limited time.”
Although not confirmed, the original look of the character Fortnite BriteStar appears to be a reference to Marvel Comics Bright Star, a version of Captain America who has not appeared in the MCU at the time of writing. It’s not confirmed if BriteStar is inspired by Bright Star, but the influence of the two on Captain America seems to make that pretty clear.
