Hogwarts Legacy Transfiguration System Explained

WITH Hogwarts Legacy Transfiguration system, you can always come to class looking like the smartest person in school. Fortunately, that hideous beret you found in the Forbidden Forest with incredible stats shouldn’t go to waste. Any piece of equipment you find can be modified to take on the appearance of another item.

The role playing game has a wide selection of clothes to make your avatar stand out from the rest of the Hogwarts Legacy characters. Any item of clothing you find in Hogwarts Legacy will be available for transmogrification. This means you don’t have to stick with your favorite clothes just because they look good. Whenever the item appears in your inventory, you will automatically unlock the ability to transmog into that item of clothing.

How to Transmogrify at Hogwarts Legacy

Open the “Equipment” tab in the menu and hover over the equipped items. You should see stats for each piece of gear you own, along with a button hint. (F on keyboard and mouse, X on Xbox controllers, Square on PlayStation pads) to change the appearance.

When selecting the option to change the appearance, two sections should appear: Collections and Other. Accessing this menu at the start of the game may have no effect unless you have purchased the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Dark Arts clothing set. There is no gear attached to the exclusive Dark Arts set, so you will need to use the transmog system to equip it.

Collections can include special pieces of gear that you earn by completing certain quests, such as the gear you unlock when you become a Crossed Wands champion. There are also gear drop rewards for completing a series of quests, but these must be redeemed in the Hogwarts Legacy section of the menu.

The “Other” option displays all equipment that has ever been in your inventory. Remember that you don’t need to keep your old gear to transmog it, so feel free to sell any gear you don’t use.

That’s all you need to use the Hogwarts Legacy transmogrification system. The creator of the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling, has made several transphobic comments on social media in recent years. At Warner Bros. there is a license to make games based on Harry Potter. Although the details of this agreement are not known to the public, and WB Games states that “JK Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game”, it is likely that, as the creator and owner of the Harry Potter intellectual property, she will receive royalties on their sales.
