GRID Esports and Riot Games signed a cooperation agreement for the production VALORANT Data Portal (VRT)new home for FPS games data.
VDP provides a new automated platform that allows professional teams to access detailed data from official esports matches and bouts. In addition, a key part of the partnership with GRID is providing the community with an official source of trusted VALORANT data.
“Giving access to official data is an important part of ensuring the sustainability and growth of the VCT ecosystem. Creating a VALORANT data portal with GRID is the first step in making official VCT data available to the wider ecosystem.”
As a reminder, Riot Games is working with agencies to monitor all official matches for potential integrity risks as part of a comprehensive effort to ensure a level playing field for all teams.
Riot launched the League of Legends data portal in 2021, receiving great feedback from the professional teams that have used it. This data was also used in the AWS GameDay: Lolesports Edition community during the 2022 World League Championship, where community members gathered to participate in hackathon-like events using esports data.
