Valheim Ashlands Update Introduces Terrifying Enemy And Stylish Helmets

Iron Gate gave us more details on the Valheim Ashlands update, and it has a very good reason to stay afloat. The next biome to be added to Walheim is the Haunted Volcanic Region located in the southern part of the map, and it promises to be an exciting addition to one of the best cooperative survival games on PC. We also got news about the Hildir’s Quest update, which includes new helmet options and new difficulty settings.

A new Iron Gate blog reveals that “pre-production at Ashland is in full swing with concept art and field testing,” some of which, like the Walheim Ashlands weapon concepts, have been shared on social media by the team. “It’s very interesting to read your feedback on design ideas so early in the process,” the blog continues.

“Right now, we’d like to show you another enemy concept art.” Please note that we will be showing concept art for the enemy in question, so if you want to avoid any Valheim Ashlands Spoilers so maybe look the other way, though if you’ve made it this far, you’re probably already looking forward to what’s to come.

Iron Gates asks a simple but chilling question: “What if the waters around Ashland were inhabited by something that makes it a little harder to get to shore…”

Then he meets the bony snake. It’s hard to tell from this photo how big it will be, but to be honest it looks big to me. Few things in games scare me more than the mysterious horrors that lurk beneath the surface of great bodies of water, so needless to say, I’m very excited about this news.

Meanwhile, the team is working on a small update to Hildir’s Quest that includes new difficulty settings. “We tried hard and easy modes,” Iron Gate explains, “as well as normal mode, where you don’t lose gear when you die.” This is certainly good news for those who find the stress of risk more repulsive than attractive.

Iron Gate states: “Normal mode will continue to be the most balanced version of the game, but we hope that the addition of new ways to play can challenge experienced players and open up the game to players who prefer a more balanced mode. .” and laid-back approach. There’s definitely something peaceful about Walheim’s Shared Instant Adventures, so I definitely see the appeal of a more user-friendly switch for those who want it.

Valheim Hildir's Quest Update: Hildir's House Preview Image. The trunk and mixing bowl are on a wooden board on the floor next to a clothesline with clothes hanging on it and a wheel from what looks like a cart or large structure.

Hildir’s Quest also includes the ability to wear helmets while keeping your hair visible, which is certainly a welcome change for those of us who have thrown ourselves into magnificent Viking castles only to find we have to choose between style and safety. There is also a small sneak peek at Hildir’s house, showing a chest and mixing bowl on the floor next to a clothesline.
