Presage returns to Destiny 2 with rotating exotic missions

According to Destiny 2 Game Director Joe Blackburn, Presage returns to Destiny 2 via Exotic Rotator Missions, which will also include Vox Obscura and Operation: Seraph’s Shield. Like Raid Rotator and Dungeon Rotator, Exotic Missions will allow New Lights to discover content that they were unable to discover when it was first released in the FPS game. They will also give experienced players continued opportunities to enjoy quests that Bungie would otherwise have removed from the game. Players can expect the Exotic Mission Rotator to launch in Destiny 2 Season 22.

“Like our old Raid and Dungeon Rotators, the Exotic Mission Rotator will feature Exotic Missions from the past that rotate weekly and offer great rewards for players looking to dive into classic content,” Blackburn said in a post. “For Season 22, this rotator will contain the Exotic Missions from Seasons 13, 16, and 19: Presage, Vox Obscura, and Operation: Seraph’s Shield. With this structure in place, we look forward to using this rotator in the future to continue bringing back some of the more classic Destiny 2 quests.”

Players are wondering why certain quests, like Operation: Seraph’s Shield, which is part of the Destiny 2 Revision Zero exotic quest, need to be scheduled to exit the game after a certain amount of time. Operation Seraph Shield was some of the most exciting content in Destiny 2 Season 19, and the Rotator is the perfect way to bring back missions like this without necessarily replacing them with new content.

The announcement is accompanied by several additional updates from Blackburn detailing what players can expect beyond the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date. Bungie will also be making changes to the Vanguard Ops playlist to make it more difficult to earn achievements. Blackburn also shared that players can expect updates to the Lake of Shadows and Arms Dealer attacks, “redesigned and updated to match the combat levels of some of our latest attacks.” Bombardments that haven’t been updated recently, like Exodus Crash and The Inverted Spire, will appear less in Vanguard Ops playlists, though they’re still playable. The Bungie team also intends to introduce Battlegrounds Seasons 16 and 19 as Nightfalls, starting with Heist of Mars Battlegrounds as part of the Nightfall rotation in Destiny 2 Season 20, which is called Season of Defiance.

Blackburn also announced that Destiny 2 players can look forward to the new Season 22 raid and provided more information on upcoming difficulty changes. Gamers have a lot to look forward to with Lightfall, Season 20, and the introduction of the Destiny 2 Strand subclass in one of the best multiplayer games on PC.
