With the Wild Hearts release date fast approaching, we still don’t know much about EA and Koei Tecmo’s approach to Capcom’s hit Monster Hunter series. To celebrate the impending release, we’ve got a Wild Hearts Story Trailer that takes you into the world of fantasy gaming, check it out below.

Wild Hearts will be released on February 16.as EA created this new IP with Koei Tecmo with the clear hope of rivaling the co-op mayhem in Capcom’s giant monster series.

“Enter Minato Village to meet allies who will aid you on your hunt and help protect the people of Azuma in Wild Hearts,” EA writes. “He knows Natsume, Ujishige and others. From the blacksmith to the scientist, all will be essential for your survival against the fierce Kemono. The villagers, along with other hunters and the ancient technology known as Karakuri, will help you emerge victorious from the most powerful beasts.

The town of Minato and its inhabitants take center stage in this Wild Hearts trailer, with your allies providing various services as you hunt monsters and protect the town.

With the imminent release of Wild Hearts, we at PCGamesN are delighted that Capcom’s series is getting some competition, as it can only be good for everyone involved. Wild Hearts will feature crossplay, in-game voice chat, and systems like co-spawn and base camps. If these changes prove successful and popular about the Monster Hunter formula, I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom adapted some of them.

We also have a list of all the Wild Hearts monsters, called Kemono, that you can get your hands on, which we will update and expand on the full list when EA’s game launches in full.

If you’re curious about Kemono, there will be more than 20 at launch, with more free DLC coming in the future. The team wants to focus more on “quality over quantity” with their giant monsters, and don’t worry, all post-launch content will be free, not just every new Kemono.

We’ve got the best games for you, like Monster Hunter, plus lists of the best RPGs and the best cooperative games.
