AMD has just announced the official release date and price of the Ryzen 7000X3D, and it will be on the list of the best gaming processors with the well-known MSRP. You’ll also be able to get your hands on one of the red team tokens sooner than you think, as they’ll be hitting the scene at the end of the month.
At CES 2023, the company said its new flagship CPU is 29% faster than the Intel i9-13000K in esports games, but the Ryzen 7950X3D will eventually take the 6GHz Intel i9-13900KS. It’s not the only member of the new Zen 4 package, as it comes with the cheaper Ryzen 7900X3D and 7800X3D.
In a new video announcement, AMD confirms the pricing of its Ryzen 7000X3D trio, while also revealing an exact release date. If you’re considering replacing your stock V-Cache chip with a 16-core newcomer, you’ll be pleased to know that it has the same $699 MSRP as its predecessor and will be available for purchase starting February 26. 2023.
The same release date applies to the Ryzen 7900X3D, a stripped-down 12-core alternative that will cost $599, but you’ll have to wait until April 6 for the 7800X3D. The latest chip combines 8 cores and a 5GHz clock speed with a price tag of $499, so it might be worth the wait if you’re looking for a cheaper upgrade.
Along with the price and release date announcement, AMD VP David McAfee recommends using a 280mm all-in-one liquid cooler for “best performance.” This may add additional costs to your planned upgrade to your gaming PC, but investing in the best AIO cooler will help you get the most out of the expensive red team chip.
