The latest Call of Duty patch is out with some overdue fixes for the FPS war game. Developer Infinity Ward says that this update is aimed at fixing bugs and crashes, as well as improving overall stability. The update also includes fixes for navigating some problematic menus in Modern Warfare 2 and a new DMZ mode.
Infinity Ward doesn’t detail all of the crashes that have been fixed with this update in the patch notes, except for one that could occur when players dismiss notifications in Call of Duty’s weird menu system.
Some work has been done on this menu system: the studio claims to have fixed an issue that players reported showing another user’s data in the social menu and then turning it off, as well as an issue that prevented players from navigating. the “Friends/Latest” tab. after scrolling to the top line of this menu. The update also fixes an issue with text overlays in activity reports and calling card previews not displaying correctly during the task completion animation.
Warzone 2 only received one mode-specific update this time around: Raven Software fixed an issue with the scout drone that caused players to get stuck when “deploying a scout drone in a tight space over water”.
Special attention has been paid to the DMZ menus: a bug with the incorrect display of rewards has been fixed, the studio has improved the menu system for equipping and viewing secured weapons, and now you can access Gunsmith to change the camouflage while equipping a launcher that you have stored in a secured slot gun.
