Steam Deck and EA’s app haven’t interacted well lately, but the trends are changing. There are now even more titles from this publisher on Valve’s gaming laptop, including blockbusters like Mass Effect and the Need for Speed series.
We recently mentioned that thanks to Valve’s intervention, The Sims 4 and other games have become Steam Deck compatible. Since its launch last November, EA’s app has encountered a number of issues that previously rendered many games unplayable on a portable power station.
However, as Gaming on Linux points out, several EA-produced series are now available to play again on Steam Deck. The beloved sci-fi RPG series Mass Effect can finally be played on the go, as can many installments in the Need for Speed franchise.
If you’d rather use your deck to play the best indie games, you’ll be happy to know that It Takes Two and Unravel Two should now give you a great Valve experience. In the meantime, you sports fans too can stock up on that Madden fix on the go with Madden NFL 23 and the previous two games in the series.
Hopefully the developers will take note of these issues and try to fix the compatibility inconsistencies before the Steam Deck 2 release date. In the future, we prefer to see more new games running on out-of-the-box gaming laptop PCs. even for Gabe and his team, he hasn’t done much work after the fact.
