CS:GO, OG stop the Academy project

OG eSports they put the project on hold Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Academy next year. The European Esports Organization has made the decision to better focus on our core game given that 2023 is shaping up to be a challenging year. However, the staff will review the player development program in the future.

The CS:GO Academy project, which started about a year ago, aimed to educate a new generation and take part in the WePlay Academy League, which over the years has established itself as a cornerstone of Counter-Strike development.

Over the past months, the team has taken part in three seasons of the WePlay Academy League. The organization has been able to grow with the support of technical staff and, in particular, Christian “crisbyyy” Schmitt, six team players.

Now all players are free to explore new features. The only player who will remain under contract with OG CS:GO will be Max “Marix” Kugener will be the official replacement. While Christian “crisbyyy” Schmitt, the training coach, was promoted to first team analyst. His experience and thoroughness will be of great help to strengthen the coaching staff.
