Game Forza Motorsport 8
According to Gabe Garcia, Vehicle Art Director at Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport 8 “features over 500 vehicles to build, race, and customize with over 800 unique upgrades.” Of those cars, 100 will be brand new to the series and will include “the most advanced race cars we’ve ever featured on our list.” Also, you can compete in 20 different environments that are constantly changing depending on the weather.
New to the series is the single player career mode, which takes a deep dive into modifying your car so you can perform at your best in any race. We don’t know what this new mode entails, but we expect it to be more hands-on than any previous Forza game.
Since racing can be a brutal sport at times, the physics engine needs to be constantly updated, and “the improvements to our physics model are greater than in Forza Motorsport 5, 6, and 7 combined.” Materials and shaders are designed with ray tracing in mind, with realistic reactions between light and paint, dirt buildup, and paint chips better reflecting what’s happening in the game.
Forza Motorsport 8 will natively support Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos. The overwritten library will give you a great set of sounds, including all updates. If you have a distinctive-sounding turbo in real life, that sound will be in Forza Motorsport 8. Regional track announcers and improvements to tire and suspension sound also help with immersion, as do new features like the dynamic day type. weather systems and lighting settings.
So far, that’s all we know about Forza Motorsport 8’s release date. With so much investment, it could be one of the best PC games for racing fans. If you need a refresher, we’ve got our Forza Motorsport 7 review so you can see what areas the developer is likely to tweak.
