Dead space requirements it won’t turn your gaming PC into a Necromorph, but you’ll want to protect your graphics card from any frame rate issues. Although you can play Horror Reboot with a Geforce GTX GPU, upgrading to something newer will allow you to meet the recommended specs.
According to Dead Space on Steam system requirements, you will need one of the best gaming CPUs to install USG Ishimura. Motive recommends using something at least as good as the Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, with much higher specs than the Core i5 11600K and Ryzen 5 5600X. These last two chips are only a few years old, so getting a newer processor could help revive the corpses of the bloody sci-fi shooter.
These are the system requirements for Dead Space:
Minimum | advised | |
I KNOW | windows 10 64 bit | windows 10 64 bit |
---|---|---|
CPU | Intel Core i5 8600 AMD Ryzen 5 2600X |
Intel Core i5 11600K AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
GPUs | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 AMD Radeon RX5700 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 AMD Radeon RX 6700XT |
video memory | 8GB | 8GB |
storage | 50GB | 50GB |
Dead Space’s minimum GPU requirements aren’t that high, as Motive suggests that an outdated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 will provide enough power. However, for those looking to boost frame rates or take advantage of ray tracing gaming features, the GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT is a better choice.
It is not yet known if Nvidia DLSS or other scaling technologies such as AMD FSR and Intel XeSS will be supported. The same can be said for Nvidia PhysX, but we can only hope that we can look forward to some cool ragdoll effects the day the Dead Space remake is released.
Compatible with Dead Space Steam Deck
Motive has not announced compatibility with the Dead Space Steam Deck, and Valve has not marked the game as tested or playable. What we do know is that Pathetic Gaming will come with gamepad support, so there should be no problem with a powerful portable gamepad. This will potentially help gamers bring the horror classic home, but EA’s DRM and login requirements could prevent it from making Valve’s “Great on Deck” list.
