Valheim Update Introduces Various Ashlands Weapon Concepts

Another Valheim update from developer Iron Gate Studio shows off some of the Ashlands weapons they’re considering for the Viking survival game. The Valheim Ashlands update is expected to be the next biome to get a full implementation after the release of the Mistlands update, and the Valheim team says they are looking to be more active in the development process to let fans know how the updates are going. stuff. aloft.

As part of one of the first parts of this enhanced communication, the team is sharing some weapon concepts from lead artist Robin “Grimcore” Eyre, which are being tested to gain fan experience on the new skins. We see a sword, axes, and a giant two-handed sword, with a little taunt at the end.

In an image posted to the Valheim Twitter page, the team shows off the Niedhögg, Slayer, and Berzerkr axes. The first, Niedhögg, appears to be a pretty standard straight sword, but with some awesome visuals in options of red, green, and blue. These are most likely different elemental affinities – Ashland is teased as “the land of the dead, as well as a place with quite a volcanic nature”, so there will almost certainly be mystical elements after Misty Lands. . .

The Slayer resembles a massive two-handed sword, again coming in three flavors: volcanic, smoky red, sickly, poison green, and one that crackles with blue lightning around the blade. Finally, a matching pair of Berzerkr axes resemble two-handed weapons, and the name implies that they should be used together for an all-out combat style.

Finally, there’s an oddly empty space above the name “Eldner.” Tidy ask the fans on Twitter for “Any suggestions as to what the mysterious Eldner might be,” so if you have any ideas, be sure to include them in your replies. Eyre also notes that since Ashlands is in pre-production, a lot could change for the full release, but the current design “only promotes things that I think are cool and would be fun to play within the confines of what Walheim is.” .“.
