The recently released trailer for Destiny 2 Neomuna hints at a possible vendor role for Osiris, a prominent former Vanguard warlock commander who recently awoke after Mythrax brewed Nezarek heirloom tea for him during the raid season.
After Bungie released its latest Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer this week, keen observers noticed that there was an Osiris banner in Neomuna’s entourage that would have been clearly visible, much like a vendor. In the game, location providers often play an important role in story missions. Players can also receive rewards from them and level up with them in exchange for destination rewards such as weapons and armor.
In the game’s story, Osiris plays an important role in the search for Neomunas. Reappearing as an exoframe in Destiny 2 Season 19, Rasputin is one of the few characters in the current Destiny 2 game universe to know of a refugee outpost somewhere in the universe that survived the collapse that nearly led to extinction. of humanity. . . Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris is also named after the hero Warlock to honor him as he searches for the best and brightest warriors of the Guardians.
While it’s possible he’ll become a dedicated vendor like Xur or Lord Saladin, who rules Destiny 2’s Iron Banner, it seems more likely that his connection to Neomuna will make him a global vendor like Finch or Shao Han.
In The Witch Queen, players worked with Finch to infiltrate Savatun’s Throneworld, as he gave them vital information and helped them navigate the various missions of the campaign. Whatever Osiris’s role, the presence of his banner suggests that he will continue to play a significant role in the story of one of the best PC games of 2023 well beyond Destiny 2 Lightfall’s release date.
