These Steam Deck users seem to be sure that the new version will have issues on a portable device, but it should be noted that this is just speculation. Given the hype surrounding the remake, it would be surprising if the game wasn’t fully controlled, especially since the original Dead Space is controlled and Dead Space 2 is at least playable. However, there is no third game, but that does not mean that there will not be a new version.
Given Dead Space’s system requirements, it’s hard to say if you’ll run into any issues. Also, Gotham Knights had some launch issues, but it still works on deck, just not perfectly.
