Overwatch 2 is hosting a Double XP weekend to celebrate the ongoing Overwatch 2 Battle for Olympus event, but the divine spectacle doesn’t seem to be getting as much love in-game as it is on Blizzard’s social media. The boost is a great opportunity to get into FPS games and work on upgrading your Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass for the included Greek-themed skins, but the gameplay itself seems to have slowed down a bit despite its concept. quite new.
The Overwatch Twitter account notes that Double XP per match in Overwatch 2 is available January 6-9.what is it staff to celebrate the Battle for Olympus mode, which gives Overwatch’s seven heroes 2 unique abilities inspired by their new Legendary skins. What has confused some fans, however, is that during this supposed celebration, the Battle for Olympus event is no longer displayed in the Overwatch 2 main menu. The event mode is certainly very cool in concept, but many players don’t seem to be thrilled that it’s limited to a free-for-all format and challenges that require you to get a pretty strong 300 kills in each. hero. simply unlock Mercy’s old skin from the first Overwatch. Additionally, some fans wonder why the legendary skin of Mercy, one of the heroes most closely associated with team play, is associated with the game “every man for himself.”
I really liked this format, but I can’t say I’m sticking with it this weekend since I already have the Winged Victory Mercy skin and don’t really like the prospect of killing a large number of victims. Due to the rather unimaginable challenges and the mode’s disappearance from the game’s main menu just a day after launch, many gamers come to the conclusion that Blizzard isn’t as passionate about the mode as they claim.
Despite this, Blizzard continues to promote the mode on social media. selection Junker Queen’s current position at the top of the elimination leaderboard for the mode, which will determine who places her statue on the Ruins of Ilios map after the event ends. It would be nice to see some more in-game rewards for participating in the weekend.
