Debate between factions of guilds in WoW has been heated ever since this feature was enabled in the 9.2.5 Shadowlands, Eternity’s End patch. As MMORPG fans get used to blurring the lines between Alliance and Horde, I asked production manager Pat Dawson if we would see an additional feature.
Although I am on the side of the Horde, I have friends who prefer to stay on the straight and narrow. When I asked Dawson if Blizzard was considering a cross-faction guild system to allow players from each faction to meet more formally, he said, “That was a very requested feature. It’s something we’re definitely considering.”
Explaining that he “has nothing to announce on that” at this stage, he continues: “I think as the system evolves, you see gradual changes over time: first there are cross-factional raids and then cross-factional instances. The next iteration What just changed with the release of Dragonflight is faction contact, so that’s the second part.
“So we’ll see what’s next, and what’s next, and eventually we’ll move into a world where we want to do something like [cross-faction guilds] in the future, but in terms of time, I can’t share anything.”
In any case, I find it quite positive. While there were issues after the release of the new spy system, the mostly cross-factional changes drew positive, or at least mixed feedback, as you don’t need to turn it on if you don’t want to. .
As long as I continue to evolve, I attend to the fact that the guilds’ interactions introduce as much as possible, and I don’t lie if I say that I’m jealous and I don’t encourage an essayer by a character from the Alliance for once. I played WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic Preview as a Draenei Death Knight and it didn’t hate It’s so strange that things have happened.
