It’s only been out for a few weeks, but now the WoW Dragonflight 2023 roadmap has been revealed, and there’s still a long way to go for the latest expansion to Blizzard’s venerable MMORPG. 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Dragonflight, with two seasons, new raids, new areas and dungeons, and tons of new content.
Blizzard has provided some preliminary details about its plans for 2023 in Dragonflight. A total of six content patches are planned for next year, one of which falls at the beginning of the second and third seasons, and the other four are planned for winter, spring, summer, and fall. .
As the company recently announced, patch 10.0.5 is expected to arrive early in the new year and will include white and gray transmogs, a new trading post system, and new content for the Primalist Tomorrow area.
Blizzard says that once this hits the live servers, they plan to push patch 10.0.7 to the World of Warcraft PTR. This patch is scheduled to release in the spring and will include a new quest campaign and repeatable world content set within the Forbidden Limit. We’ll learn more about Draktyr in this story, and it will set the stage for the next big chapter of Dragonflight, coming with Season 2 and Patch 10.1.
This update will include a new zone, a new raid, a new Mythic+ dungeon pool, job updates, and some UI improvements, as well as the launch of a new PvP season. After that, we can expect patches 10.1.5 and 10.1.7 to appear in the summer and fall respectively.
These updates promise to include a new mega dungeon, new world events, new stories and quests, a holiday update, and regular content and system updates that you get with major fixes.
Finally, towards the end of the year, patch 10.2 will be released, which will add another new area, a new raid, a new group of Mythic+ dungeons, and other content to kick off a new PvP season.
