The Fallout 76 holiday event has arrived in Appalachia, which means countless MMORPG hideout-dwellers can get into the seasonal spirit of the draw and destroy the brutal mutants. The Holiday Scorched event features scorched mutants in fur-trimmed Santa suits carrying holiday gifts that you can collect after introducing them to your arsenal of post-nuclear weapons. The event is in progress December 20 – January 2.
According to Bethesda, festive scorched spawn appear as legendary creatures with one to three stars and only spawn out in the open. You’ll know someone is nearby when you hear the sleigh bells.
Each person you kill will bring a Christmas gift, which can be small, normal or large. Each of them can include rare loot, such as blueprints for CAMP items.
During the event, vendors sell holiday wrapping paper, which players can use at the crafting bench to create their own holiday gifts. You can unlock them for another rare loot chance, that is if you’re really not thrilled with all the “goodies” as we think.
Earlier this year, a major update to Fallout 76 reintroduced The Pitt, a new location that players can explore using the new expedition system.
