Riot Games Updates LoL and VALORANT Esports Streaming Schedule

riot game announced an updated esports streaming schedule ahead of the 2023 season. League of Legends As well as VALORANT. Riot says the changes are aimed at creating programming that “matches viewer preferences” and provides new opportunities to create “new content” throughout the year. After two years of supporting its esports ecosystem, Riot has analyzed a wealth of data to improve the viewing experience for fans. As a result, the start times for all VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) and League of Legends Esports leagues have changed.

Beginning with League of Legends, The North American LCS will take place on Thursdays and Fridays at 12:00 pm PT, and the LEC will take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays at 18:00 pm CET. Also changed the start time of CBLoL and LCK.

Per VALORANT Tour of Champions, The American track will run every Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12:00 PM PT, while the EMEA region will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 6:00 PM CET. The Pacific Circuit runs on the same days as the Americas, with a start time of 6:00 PM KST.

The publisher says the change “creates flexibility to explore broadcast formats, increase cross-regional storytelling and make things easier for collaborative streamers” and improve the viewing experience for those who watch.

Riot Games also revealed that LoL Esports and VCT plans for 2023 are coming “in the coming days and weeks.”
