The second DLC pack for Civilization 6 Leader Pass has already been released, adding three new national leaders to the 4X game. This set includes three historical generals: Tokugawa of Japan, Nader Shah of Persia, and Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire.
Historically known as a brilliant strategist and military leader, the Tokugawa edict on Sakoku’s agenda causes him to despise civilizations that seized control of other civilizations’ home capitals. His basic ability, Bakuhan, imposes penalties on international trade, but grants bonuses on domestic trade routes for each special district present at his destination. Combine that with the bonuses for each city in Japan’s six capital squares, and you’ll have every reason to build tall and tight, covering as many squares as possible with neighborhoods.
Nadir Shah started his life as a slave, but in time he became the richest man in the world, not to mention the famous military leader. His Sword of Persia unique ability grants +5 combat power when he attacks units at full health, which pairs well with early Immortal Persia special units. Nader Shah can create a huge trade empire through conquest with the additional gifts of Sword of Persia for the cities that Nader Shah has not found.
Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire was a military reformer, poet, and philanthropist. In Civilization VI, he likes civilizations experiencing a golden age, as he himself oversaw the golden age of culture. His Splendor ability grants +15% Science and Culture during the Golden Age. When the Ottomans are not in the Golden Age, the ability grants +4 combat strength to units whose civilians are also not in the Golden Age. of gold.
The Leader Pass will eventually add 18 new leaders to Civilization VI through periodic DLC packs that are scheduled to release in March 2023.
