EA/DICE have announced a new limited-time event for Battlefield 2042 called Battle for Nordvik. December 20 – January 10. The multiplayer game event is divided into three distinct weeks, each with its own key conflict phase between the Nordvik Control Corps of Western Forces and the Black Storm Shadow Operations Regiment.
Each week during the event, there will be a separate phase of the battle at Nordvik, a robot and weapons manufacturing facility found on the new Season 3 map “Spearhead”. The first step that goes December 20 – 27, is the assault on Nordvik. This is a 32v32 conquest assault with no air vehicles.
second week of December 27 – January 2, is the defense of Nordvik. This 16v16 mode starts out as a follow-up to Conquest, with attackers rushing to capture objectives on the way to the front lines. If they manage to break through enemy lines, the match switches to quick mode where the attackers must capture the M-COMs scattered throughout the Nordvik factory.
The final stage is the launch of Nordvik, and passes January 3 to 10. For this round of battle, it’s a 128-player all-out war with faster relocation, increased movement speed, and faster vehicle summoning. It will be chaos.
Each stage also includes exclusive cosmetic items that can be earned by completing weekly challenges and earning ribbons. You can see the full list of rewards on the official website.
