Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti leak suggests it’s coming very soon

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti could be coming sooner than you think, as a new leak suggests a January release date. The first listing also implies that it will have 16GB of VRAM, instead of the 12GB of its canceled RTX 4080 counterpart.

Nothing is set in stone when it comes to handling the best graphics cards, as the RTX 4070 Ti is said to be a model of the RTX 4080 12GB in a different guise. If a mid-range GPU rises from the ashes of an “unreleased” Lovelace competitor, it will give PC gamers access to DLSS 3, Frame Generation, and other next-gen Lovelace tricks at a lower price.

According to a now-deleted listing from Italian retailer Drako.it, the RTX 4070 Ti is scheduled to arrive on January 5, 2023 (via Wccftech). The proactive page includes a countdown timer to build excitement, along with inappropriate specifications that claim it will have 16GB of VRAM. Before you get your hopes up, that last item seems like a typo, because the listing title specifically says “12GB.”

However, Nvidia has reportedly dropped its original vision for the GeForce RTX 4070 as it appears it won’t be using the AD104-275 GPU. While we always recommend taking rumors with a grain of salt, we may see many different graphics card specs than originally anticipated.

For now, the next-generation graphics card market is reserved for high-end versions and enthusiast needs. Sure, the Radeon RX 7900 XT will offer premium specs for less than the RTX 4080, but neither side will help you put together the best budget gaming PC with a shiny new GPU. To make matters worse, Nvidia insists that its next-generation RTX 3000 line is still part of its current family, which could prevent the words “Lovelace” and “budget” from being in the same sentence.
