The fourth chapter of Fortnite is available online. In addition to the brand new map and weapons, Epic has also made a number of gameplay changes and even added reality improvements. But while some players are happy to explore, others are already head over heels in the competition. Let’s take a look at all the upcoming tournaments and what’s new in Chapter 4 Season 1.
Fortnite Divisional Cups
Remains the main competitive mode in Chapter 4, with the Divisional Cups returning starting with the Qualification Cup December 10th. In this competition, you will be placed in the Contender, Challenger or Elite division.
Then from 4 January, two division cups will be held every week. The money that can be played is in the Elite section, while the lower divisions have a chance to move up in the ranks.
FNCS Duos Chapter 4 Season 1
February 3rd, FNCS Duos will replace the Elite Divisional Cups for five weeks. More details will be revealed closer to competition time, but we can expect the standard FNCS online format we’re used to. However, one key difference is that it seems like you have to be in the elite division to participate in the FNCS. This means there will be far fewer teams in the qualifiers and a higher level of competition.
Duos Fill Cup
This new event is great for those who can’t find a teammate! In each game, you will be matched with a random player (similar skill level/points). If you find someone you like, you can add them as friends and start playing together.
On Saturdays there will be Battle Royale Fill Cups, and on Wednesdays there will be Zero Build Fill Cups.
Victory Cash Cups
An interesting novelty. These single cups are played over two rounds, with the prize money going to the winner of each match in the second round.
Round 1 of Cash Cups Victory will take place on Saturday and Round 2 on Sunday.
Zero builds cups
Quick Cup Zero Build Duos will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you want to get more serious, you can take part in the weekly Zero Build Squads cash cups on Saturdays to compete for cash prizes.
Console Events
Console offerings will remain much the same as previous seasons. Each season will feature a Console Champions Cup as well as monthly PlayStation Cups.
