Intel’s new Raptor Lake entries will soon take the gaming CPU market by storm, but early announcements point to a hefty price tag for the 6GHz chip. The upgraded Core i9-13900K sibling is apparently 22% more expensive than the current leader, but you can wait for the official price before you get discouraged.

The next best contender for a gaming CPU from Intel is something of a clocked fiend, as the i9-13900KS can hit 6 GHz out of the box. The leaked benchmarks for the chip are also promising, as it is apparently 47% faster than Alder Lake and outperforms the Raptor Lake Core i9-13900K.

Of course, if the first shared PC-Canada lists momomo_us Trust me, you’re going to have to pay a lot more to supercharge your rig with a chip. The seller puts the price of the processor at C$972 (just over $722). That’s 22% more than the $589 Core i9-13900K.

As with all retail leaks, we suggest taking the first i9-13900KS listing with a grain of salt. Replacement prices are often inaccurate and do not necessarily indicate final MSRP. However, the i9-13900KS offers enthusiast performance, so don’t be surprised if it comes at a premium price.

CES 2023 is fast approaching, and Intel is set to show off 16 new Raptor Lake chips. The next wave of non-K processors from the blue team will offer a lower TDP that will suit budget builders, but the i9-13900KS isn’t mentioned in the leak in question. Whether that means it will arrive later remains to be seen, but the fact that retail listings are showing up suggests otherwise.
