Valve kindly asked steam bridge for the user to return a turkey fryer that was sent to him accidentally. The kitchen appliance was recently packaged and shipped to a customer, which probably means someone somewhere ran out of a Thanksgiving turkey.
In a recent update, Reddit user Throwaway19712654876 showed a screenshot of an email sent by Valve. The message indicates that the Turkey Fryer was sent to a Steam Deck Developer Repair Center and then sent to the wrong customer. The company is now asking if the item can be returned, presumably to be sent to its rightful owner.
As Christmas approaches, those who own a Valve gaming laptop PC can look forward to receiving the ultimate Steam Deck as a gift. However, at least one person will be thrilled to finally be able to cook a turkey for the upcoming holiday season, assuming it’s been revamped, that is…
Redditor initially expected to receive only a refurbished Steam Deck, but later found the fryer with a portable device. After initial confusion, Valve claimed responsibility for the bug, explaining that the two devices were apparently owned by the same person. You know what they say about “speculation,” but Throwaway19712654876 is happy to return the fryer to its owner.
It was apparently just an oversight on the part of the company and it took three days of investigation to find out. Some kind of Christmas miracle.
