Trackmania World Tour, 2023 tournament details with Showdown scheduled for December 17th

Trackmania World Tour 2023 starts from the weekend Autopsy, 17 and 18 December. The event will be streamed on Twitch for fans to enjoy the first showdown of the season between 8 Trackmania Grand League teams. Stage 1 Grand League Trackmania 2023 will start instead Saturday 21 January for the Grand League Super Weekend.

World Tour 2023 will take the competitive gaming scene in a new direction. new formatbuilt around two-on-two matches.
With this new formula, Trackmania World Tour aims to validate its existing professional ecosystem, offering exciting new team-based storylines and challenges, and a clear path to professionalism for all.

The competitive season will be structured as follows:
– Phase 1: from January 21 to March 19, 2023
– All-Stars Championship: April 15 and 16 and April 22 and 23.
– Phase 2: from April 29 to June 25
– All-Stars Championship: August 27, September 2 and 3.
– World Championship: Fall 2023

Each stage will include two levels of competition. There Trackmania Grand League will bring together the best professional players in Trackmania, and the runners-up will compete in Challenger League. A total of 8 teams will compete in the Trackmania Grand League and 8 more teams in the Trackmania Challenger League. Each team consists of two players and a dedicated streamer.

Amateur teams will take part in the Trackmania World Tour

At the end of the season, the Wildcard system will allow amateur teams to team up and compete in the World Championship alongside the best professional teams on the Trackmania World Tour. Indeed, at every stage, aspiring professional players will now have the opportunity to hone their skills through regional tournaments and in-game 2v2 matchmaking.and which will follow the same rules, formats and layouts as the Trackmania Grand League. In-game events and matches associated with the Trackmania World Tour will award points which will determine which amateur teams participate in the wildcard system.The 2v2 matchmaking system will replace the current 3v3 game mode at the start of Phase 1 on January 21st.. TMWT tracks will be available to the highest scoring players, easier versions of all tracks will also be available for higher levels. Campaign tracks will remain the standard for first rank matchmaking. Stage 1 tracks will be available on Wednesday, December 7th in both full and simplified versions.
