This is quite a nasty mistake – the death of an animal can, of course, be quite a traumatic problem for some people. The Sims 4 is a life simulation at heart, so the ability for animals to age and die is definitely worth turning on, but the inability to reliably turn it off has left some commenters wondering. until the bug is fixed.
