Esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) today unveiled a new team, BIG Chroma, the League of Legends women’s club team. BIG Chroma is a new project aimed at finding female and non-binary talent in League of Legends and developing them as professional athletes.

Their development as a team and individual players will be fueled by the same structure and staff that helped our League of Legends department bring home several Premier League trophies as well as the coveted European Masters title.

To build on the success of BIG EQUIPA, our women’s CS:GO team, we are committed to continuing to support underrepresented groups in esports and providing them with the same structure and services as other teams.

The team will be formed as follows: Team Captain Luna “Zavi” Lohmann, Madison “CrowMac” Kutle, Georgia “Trez” Wheeler, Miki “Nugget” Maurer and Gina “Lumi” Kircher.

Philipp Neubauer, Marketing Director, said: “Creating role models for young gamers and non-binary gamers plays a huge role in how we want to build BIG in the coming years. Being an underrepresented group, especially in the esports scene, is a huge loss for our community as a whole. By building BIG Chroma, we want to set a precedent for all women and non-binary players by giving them the same world-class opportunities that we provide to other teams.”
