The final part of the six-episode series has arrived, in which the worlds of the Batman comic book and the video game Fortnite intersect. As usual, it benefits from great art, iconic gaming props, and the successful relationship between the two main characters, Batman and Catwoman. But how did you manage to solve the mystery of the mysterious island, complete the story and the fate of the characters and connect it all into the continuity of both universes?

End of the road
The final workbook left Batman and Catwoman in a somewhat desperate situation with a damaged dimensional gate they planned to return to their world. Of course, Batman wouldn’t come up with some technically unlikely solution. He will also be helped by Catwoman’s observation that she did not allow their opponent to escape without taking him. So, together, the pair return to the loop inside the island for one last mission.
The goal of their expedition is none other than to find the third person from their world on the battlefield inside the loop: Harley Quinn. But, as it turns out, she has a relatively radical vision of the whole event and the plan of the pair of heroes, which, of course, leads to a real battle. And when it seems that victory is on the side of the main couple, the mysterious loop reveals its next trick.
While there’s no shortage of twists and turns in the ending, once again I was most impressed by the same thing as the first book: the relationship between Batman and Catwoman, which is more human and sincere than all the crazy supernatural stuff around them. At the very end, Catwoman reveals her greatest concern to Batman, and both characters momentarily wonder if their plan is even worth the price. The question asked here stuck with me for a while, and the subsequent disclosure of the answer struck me not only in its essence, but also in the stylistic change in the pattern. The authors managed to capitalize on the story of this peculiar “loving” couple and thus make the story a success.
Another look at the game
Unfortunately, the strong finale of the fates of the main couple will somewhat dilute the next few pages devoted to the consequences in Gotham City and Metropolis. Here’s an explanation of who’s really behind it all, as well as indications of where the future of these characters is heading. Without wanting to reveal too much, you’ll find a mixture of characters from the DC universe and the Fortnite universe, and it’s generally clear that the connection between the two worlds is far from complete. This will most likely affect not only future comics, but also the content in the game. In any case, it’s interesting to think about the mechanics of Fortnite in terms of the deeper lore and mythology creation that’s going on here.
The sixth workbook also contains the code for a bonus item in the game Fortnite, this time it’s the Batarang Ax “pick”. However, if you’ve redeemed codes from all six comics, you’ll also receive an additional reward of an entire skin for Batman himself called Armored Batman Zero. This is definitely one of the best/gross images in Batman’s long history. The kit also includes a rain cover that replaces the traditional backpack. I’m so sorry we didn’t get the Catwoman skin either when the comic book creators already gave us Batman and Harley. Either way, I’m glad I was at this unusual crossover and I’ll definitely remember it in the future while playing Fortnite.
