CRAFTON, LLC and Unknown Worlds announced that lunol received its 1st major content update. The changes made are in line with community feedback, which was taken into account to make the title even more like a traditional miniature game.

Early Access Business Model Adjustments
This content update removes all in-game monetization from lunol. Pulsars (the in-game currency) have been removed and will no longer be available for purchase or exchange for in-game items during Early Access.
As a result, the in-game store has been disabled and all Pulsars purchases will be automatically refunded via Steam. The Founder’s Pack Pulsars have been replaced with a new look for Zax and Slopper. Those who already own the Founder’s Pack will automatically receive the skin.
All units will be available from the base game. This means that booster crates have been removed and all regular rarity units will be added to the list. lunol through future updates at no additional cost.
Sparks are now replacing Voids and Virtues as the primary in-game currency. They can be used to increase the rarity of the selected part, changing which has only aesthetic value and does not affect gameplay. The Seasonal Path has also received a makeover with a faster pace and new cosmetic rewards.

Based on community feedback, the content update also introduces several gameplay changes that make lunol keep using your miniatures and board game roots.
First, players now start with their entire team available at the start of each match, eliminating the concept of “boosting” and “buying” throughout the game. This adjustment is combined with a slight reduction in squad size from 10 to 8 people in addition to the captain.
Speaking of captains, Astra has been redesigned to give players more options to counterattack. Additionally, assistive devices have been redesigned to give players more flexibility in how they use them:
- Orbital attack: At the start of the player’s next turn, all characters in the area will be dealt 3 damage; Skill cooldown reduced from 4 to 3 turns.
- Amber Infusion: Gives 1 Ember every round; Also grants the selected ally Infusion for 3 turns.
- Plink: When activated, players can select a unit whose health was changed this turn and choose between restoring health (to an ally) or dealing damage (to enemies).
- Emergency hatch: When using this assist, the character with the lowest player cost will be replaced with the cost of another summoned Ember.
- Corrosive particles: The range of this assist has been reduced from 5 to 2, corresponding to an 83% reduction in skill area.
