The introduction of the 13th Gen Intel Core K-series processors has been met with great fanfare by reviewers and users alike, but Team Blue has yet to reveal all the models it plans to launch under the Raptor Lake brand. It now appears that Microsoft has inadvertently left out the entire range as part of an update to its Windows 11 processor requirements page.
While the best gaming processor for most people will likely remain among the already available 13th Gen Intel Core processors, it looks like less powerful but cheaper chips are coming soon. According to the Windows 11 support page (via Videocardz), we should expect more Core i5 models in the near future, as well as some Core i3 models.
Unsurprisingly, these new processors share the same naming structure as the previous generation processors, with the Core i3 13100 naturally replacing the i3 12100. We’ll have to wait and see how well these 13 chips perform, though. th generation. generation increase. bring. offering over their 12th gen counterparts as they are said to use an older Alder Lake die.
We still don’t know when we can expect cheaper AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, but it’s definitely a while, not if. The real question is whether Team Red plans to release more cheap chips before or after its rumored processors with 3D V-Cache support.
