Do you want to know if there Gotham Knights Crossover Games? This will most likely be a new Batman-themed co-op game, and you can’t wait to play this adventure with a reliable assistant. If so, you may need answers on whether multiplayer is possible because you’re on a different platform than your friends.
In recent years, more and more games have appeared that allow anyone to play with anyone. However, just because a game has multiplayer doesn’t mean it will feature Gotham Knights cross-play. Sometimes there are good reasons for this, because getting these machines to talk to each other can be too difficult.
Cross-play and multi-platform Gotham Knights
Unfortunately, there is no crossplay in Gotham Knights. The official Gotham Knights FAQ states that “Crossplay support is not currently planned” but sadly provides no reason other than this brief statement.
The cross-play discussion doesn’t end there though, as the game is coming to PC on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The good news is that there it is link between the two versions.
- Open the game and click “Link an Epic Games account”. If you haven’t linked them yet, the Epic Games Store will open.
- Login to your account.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the launcher and click “Account”.
- The site will load in your browser. Click on the Connections tab.
- Go to the “Accounts” tab.
- Click Steam.
- Sign in to your Steam account and verify that your Epic Games Store account can access your console account.
- Please close your Epic Games Store account and reopen Gotham Knights to test your connection. Keep an eye on your unique username though, as you’ll need it to connect with your friends.
Those looking for cross-platform support for Xbox and PlayStation consoles will also be disappointed as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions have been cancelled, so you can only play on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles.
Can I use third party software to force local cooperation?
If you’re hoping to use Parsec or Steam Remote Play for Gotham Knights multiplayer, you’re out of luck here, too. WB Games confirms in the same blog post that “co-op can only be played online with an internet connection”, so split-screen is not available. Fortunately, you don’t need an internet connection to play Gotham Knights alone.
