Now you can browse your old Game Boy collection at steam bridge, thanks to a new compatible gaming PC accessory. Called GB Operator, the app uses original Nintendo cartridges and is also compatible with Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games.
Designed by Epilogue, excellent steam bridge The accessory originally bridged the gap between the original Game Boy and your Windows PC. However, a recent tweet from the company says that it now works with Valve’s handheld. The attached image shows the team connecting Mario Kart Super Circuit to their device, showing a USB-C connection and a decent-sized cable that plugs into the top port.
GB Carrier works in conjunction with a companion app, and Epilogue says it works “seamlessly” with SteamOS. The accessory itself comes equipped with an internal emulator that can update and save files, so you can switch between the turntable and the original Nintendo console without losing your progress.

when asked Twitter As for the possibility of an alternative to the SNES, Epiologue said a prototype is already in development. This means that if you have any SNES cartridges lying around, you’ll soon be able to play them too. Of course, you may have to wait for some kind of booster, unless you can handle the old games hanging on your Steam console.
Operator GB looks like a great app for that dose of Nintendo nostalgia on the go, and it can save you from spending on original hardware. Plus, pairing a Game Boy setup with the best Steam Deck means you can play retro relics on the big screen so you don’t have to switch to your gaming PC to relax.
