Blizzard is now punishing Diablo Immortal PvP users for being AFK

It appears that Diablo Immortal PvP players who sit idle in competitive RPG modes instead of playing are now penalized by Blizzard. The developer recently made a social media post asking Diablo Immortal players to be kind and stick to the keyboard, a popular term for inactivity, but now it appears to be taking action. After Diablo Immortal’s Halloween update, players began noticing that they were getting warnings if they stood still for too long during Battlegrounds matches.

“You are constantly inactive and you risk a fine. Please consider helping your teammates.” These are the words from the pop-up displayed on Diablo Immortal’s Reddit post, warning the player that a penalty may be applied for not actively participating in combat.

Players reported that this punishment consists of removing bounties from that match, as well as a forced reprieve before being able to join another match. Interestingly, one user points out that the details of this punishment are confirmed by the Chinese patch notes from October 11, but at the time of writing, the change is not yet listed on the bug fixes and fixes page of the patch notes on Blizzard English. website.

Other players have noted that Blizzard seems to be discouraging players from upgrading to AFK in other modes, as well as with the changes made in the latest update. Shadows Assembly Event Changes: Members of the Diablo Immortal Shadows faction receive legendary items that bless another player during the event, and up to four rewards are given per day.

However, it’s not all good news about Diablo Immortal Battlegrounds. Players have reported that stealth attacks and players are still prevalent in competitive modes, and that the bug causing teammates to freeze in Frozen Heart is still present, though the team has acknowledged that they are looking into the issue. It looks like there are still a lot of fixes to be done on that front, but we hope this change is a step in the right direction.

Meanwhile, the new Diablo Immortal Leystone Jewels have players worried about waiting almost a year to get a top rarity Diablo Immortal Legendary Jewel for free. Blizzard may be struggling with AFK players, but it’s also having issues with inactive Diablo Immortal clans crossing weekly brackets.
