nvidia RTX4090 can push competitive frame rates to new heights, as the flagship can apparently hit over 500fps in Overwatch 2. Benchmarks show that you won’t even have to drop the resolution as the card can hit high performance of GPU at 1440p.
On the GeForce blog, Nvidia shares its own RTX4090 Overwatch 2 performance statistics. According to the data, the RTX 4000 GPU reaches 507 fps at 1440p, while the RTX 4080 16 GB reaches 368 fps. Also, the GPU giant lists the frame rate of the RTX 3000 but interestingly doesn’t release any comparative stats of the RTX 3090 Ti.
Naturally, the two green team leaders RTX 4000 should pair well with the best esports gaming monitor, especially if they can push frame rates up to 360Hz. However, there’s still a significant frame rate gap between the two. two cards, with the 12 GB RTX 4080. lagging further at 296fps.
That’s not to say that the 12GB RTX 4080 won’t be among the best graphics cards around, but it certainly feels like the card should have been the RTX 4070. Of course, Nvidia’s benchmarks should be taken with a pinch of salt, as that independent testing and reviews should help paint a picture of better performance.
The latest post may show off the RTX 4090’s frame rate as a GPU peacock, but the numbers also highlight the power of Nvidia Reflex. Getting the next-gen graphics card at 500fps comes with 8ms system latency stats that will ultimately help competitive Overwatch 2 gamers gain the upper hand.
The RTX 4090 isn’t the only GPU arriving on October 12 with the debut of Intel’s Arc A770 and A750 in the budget gaming PC market. While the CPU requirements seem to be an issue for older systems, the price of the competitor RTX 3060 may tempt gamers on a budget to switch sides.
