As our Steam Deck review indicates, this is a great entry-level gaming PC that’s easy to take with you wherever you go. Sure, it’s a bit larger than the Nintendo Switch, but that extra weight packs an impressive amount of gaming gear, as well as your entire Steam library. Valve also announced that the official Steam Deck is now also available. The docking station is equipped with three USB A 3.1 ports, a USB C power port, video connectors for HDMI and DisplayPort, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Includes a power supply identical to the one supplied with the Steam Deck itself. The dock sells for $89 or the equivalent in your area. Valve notes that almost all third-party USB hubs will also work with the Steam Deck, so there’s no need to buy the official model if you don’t want to; Check out our list of the best Steam Deck bases if you’d like. According to Valve, there are new software features to support the docking station and other peripherals. These include new scaling, screen resolution, and refresh rate options, as well as new support for other displays and audio devices. The Deck touchscreen keyboard has also been enhanced to support Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

There’s also a host of new options for customizing Steam Deck controls, and you can now hold down a button to remap controls on the fly using a feature called “mode switching.”
