The developers of the upcoming Dead Space remake have unveiled a new trailer showcasing some of the upgraded features of the rebuilt horror game. When the Dead Space Remake release date rolls around in January, get ready to experience something called the Cleanse System.
Aboard the USG Ishimura, engineer Isaac Clarke is having the worst day of his life, largely thanks to enemies called Necromorphs who have taken over the ship. These things are mutated corpses, which is pretty gross on its own, and now there’s a new cleanup system that apparently makes them even more gross.
Developer EA Motive says it’s “rebuilding” Necromorphs around this new scrub system, which essentially consists of layers of bone, sinew, and flesh that snap, rip, and tear based on which Isaac tools you’re aiming at. EA Motive says that it allows a “créativité accrue” dans la façon dont vous pouvez aborder chaque rencontre de Necromorph, mais ne fournit aucun détail sur ce que cela pourrait signifier – et en plus, parce qu’il n’y a pas vraiment de good answer. .
Here is the new trailer:
The Dead Space Remake also adds a new intensity director to keep you on your toes, as well as new voice acting for the previously silent Isaac, courtesy of Gunner Wright, who voiced Isaac in Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3.
There are no loading screens or shortcuts in Dead Space Remake – Ishimura is “fully interconnected”, so you’ll never be stuck waiting for an area to load on a tram.
The Dead Space remake will be released in January.
