Nvidia just officially announced the GeForce RTX-4090 as good as RTX4080Two new Ada Lovelace graphics cards with AI DLSS 3.0 enhancement, 4th generation Tensor cores and 3rd generation ray tracing cores.
Announced during a keynote at GTC, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said that the RTX 4090 will have four times the performance of its predecessor, the RTX 3090 Ti. Accompanied by the flagship kaiju GPU is the RTX 4080, the best Lovelace-based graphics card after its upgraded sibling.
The Nvidia RTX 4090 goes on sale on October 12, followed in November by two RTX 4080 models. While the flagship will come with 24GB of VRAM, you can choose between 12GB or 16GB of RTX 4080 memory, the latter of which costs plus.
Speaking of price, you’ll be able to pick up the RTX 4090 for $1,599 (£1,679), while the RTX 4080 starts at $899 (£949) for the 12GB model. Unfortunately, Nvidia’s announcement only focuses on high-end GeForce GPUs, so we’ll have to wait a bit for news on the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060. Insiders whisper that the former will arrive a month after the RTX 4080, but rumors of a 2023 release date for the entry-level card seem very likely.
