On Komodo’s YouTube channel, a Steam Deck Genshin Impact compatibility hint can be found in seconds of footage from Valve’s TGS 2022. Promotional material does not explicitly mention the open world anime as being playable. However, a helpful Reddit post from Bar_Har highlights the game in a clip proudly showing off an RPG display, accompanied by handheld friends showing off other compatible games like Minecraft, Control, and Death Stranding.
Does this mean that Genshin Impact will receive official Steam Deck support soon? Well, for that, it will have to be released on the Valve store. At the moment, the only way to get a free RPG is to go to the Epic Game Store or use the game’s official launcher. The game’s inclusion in the TGS trailer is a sign that compatibility is (or was) over. the table, but this is by no means a solid confirmation of future SteamOS support.
Technically, the platform can run anything that works in a normal setup. However, using the Genshin Impact Steam Deck download comes with caveats, as you need to disable the built-in anti-fraud measures that can lead to account suspension.
