The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is compatible with 500-series motherboards and most 400-series motherboards, which means it will be pretty easy to upgrade without spending a lot of money. Full disclosure though: The processor won’t be compatible with newer 600-series motherboards running on a different chipset.
