O Paramount+ just announced the second season of the hit original series, HALO, began recording in Iceland. Production will then move to Budapest, Hungary later this year. In addition, it was announced that Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals) and Christina Rodlo (No One Left Alive, The Homeless World Cup) would join the series, along with season one cast members such as Fiona O. Shaughnessy (Laera) and Taylan. Bailey (Kessler) will return in these new episodes.

Morgan joins the series as James Akerson, a prominent official intelligence officer who spent his career in the secret ranks of the United Nations Security Council Office of Naval Intelligence. Rodlo plays Tali Perez, a linguist corporal in the UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see actual combat.
Returning from the first season, Laera (O’Shaughnessy) is Soren’s confidante, wife, and partner in crime. Kessler (Bailey), the son of Soren and Laera, had a relatively peaceful, if unusual, childhood growing up in the rubble.
