An uncanny likeness to Twitch streamer Asmongold has appeared in the new God of War Ragnarok trailer. The adventure game was shown off at the Sony State of Play event, where popular streaming company OTK tweeted waves of approval and even plans to recreate footage from other World of Warcraft streamers.
In the God of War Ragnarok trailer, we see Kratos come face to face with Tyr, the Norse god of war himself. The differences between the two cruel deities, at least visually, are quite striking: Tyr has long, shaggy hair and a not-so-exuberant physique. The trailer shows Kratos freeing Tyr from his imprisonment by breaking the ties that bound him to his Blades of Chaos.
It is after this escape from prison that we see the two gods kissing and the resemblance to Asmongold is revealed. OTK (Asmongold owned streaming organization) posted a screenshot interaction with the title: “Sometimes even the god of war needs to consult a literal god”, to which Asmongold himself replied: “Oh my god, this will happen again.”
Another popular World of Warcraft streamer, Bajheera, commented below, “We need to recreate this.” With his shaven head and bushy beard, it would seem that they are a perfect match. Bajira then posted the image version of him: “When Asmongold and I met at Blizzcon.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time God of War has hit the real world, and recently the Bob Ross x God of War cosplay: Bob of War? Let’s also not forget the modders who recently pitted Master Chief against Doom Guy to decide once and for all; who is the hardest helmeted man in history.
