Since it was revealed, the Xbox Store listing for Assassin’s Creed Mirage has stated that the game has “real gameplay”, but did not explain what exactly that means. They can be gameplay videos, real games, or even real-money microtransactions. Well now Ubisoft has finally explained why the store has a tag.

In a statement to PCGamesN, Ubisoft explained that the rating was incorrect and that the upcoming game is actually awaiting ratings from organizations like the ESRB.

“Following the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages erroneously displayed the ESRB Adults Only pre-order game,” writes ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still under review, Ubisoft would like to assure players that there are no actual game boxes or loot in the game.”

So there you have it, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will have no game boxes or loot, and the “Adults Only” rating was a mistake, and the game’s rating has yet to be approved.

At the time of publishing, the “real game” rating on the Xbox Store page is still in place, but Ubisoft’s post above says it should be removed soon, along with the US ESRB rating and rating. UK PEGI. .

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was confirmed as the next game in the series earlier this month, with the game due out next year. The action will take place in 9th century Baghdad, and the main character of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be Basim. The new game will also take inspiration from the original Assassin’s Creed as it aims to scale back some of the RPG mechanics introduced in later versions.

Many Assassin’s Creed games were announced at Ubisoft Forward this weekend, including a new game set in Japan. Codename: Red will incorporate open world RPG elements from the Assassin’s Creed series, setting it apart from Mirage and giving players two types of Assassin’s Creed games at roughly the same time.

Codename: Red doesn’t have a release date yet, but Ubisoft says it’s “on the horizon.”

While waiting for Assassin’s Creed sequel, you can try some of the best stealth games on PC or the best sandbox games.
