As reported, Persona 5 Royal weighs in on Switch 12.5GB. The overall dimensions are normal compared to other games available for the Nintendo console, but much smaller or practically triple that of those for the PS4 or 37.7GB.
According to Phase, most of the weight difference is due to cutscenes from the game. On PS4, they actually represent about a third of the total size, but on the Switch they’ll take up much less space as they’ll be downgraded to 720p. Also, according to Phase, the Switch version would likely not include the Japanese dubbing, which would be downloaded separately in the West, otherwise a 16GB cartridge wouldn’t be enough to contain the game.
