The long-awaited third installment in the Splatoon series finally aired on September 9. Longtime fans of Nintendo’s paint shooter will be pleased to see Splatoon 3 improve on the previous two games while still keeping the fun insane. Paint Wars and gameplay.
One of the features of Splatoon 3 is Salmon Run: Next Wave, a fan-favorite game mode that sees players and their friends battle waves of enemies called Salmanoids. Fans will also be happy to hear that the mod isn’t just a cut-and-paste version of Splatoon 2. Here’s everything you need to know about the new iteration.

In Salmon Run, the objectives are to collect and place Power Eggs and Golden Eggs, which can be obtained by defeating enemies. Salmon Run unlocks when players reach level four, which means you’ll need to work on multiplayer or other game modes a bit before you can defeat waves of Salmon with your friends.
One of the best parts of the Salmon Run are the prizes. Players can earn rewards by completing different waves, defeating a certain number of enemies, and completing challenges. Splatoon fans should check out this game mode after unlocking it.
